6/5/16-Ehrenberg, AZ...Again

I love my van. Can you see it?
After we left Organ Pipe National Monument, 4/11/16, our goal was to head to Santa Barbara to see my long-time friend Tracy. We broke the trip into several parts, and our first stop was Ehrenberg. Well, that’s not exactly true. We couldn’t go through Quartzsite without stopping at Silly Al’s for pizza. The building may not look like much but it is the best pizza I’ve ever had. Plus, it’s only the 2nd place in my life where I felt comfortable enough to sing Karaoke! (Shared in my November blog post here.)

Then we went on to Ehrenberg. It felt really odd to be there with so few people around. It made us miss Fred even more, and it just seemed so .... different.

But it was great to see familiar faces as well. Anyone who has camped in Ehrenberg knows the “mall.”

And if you've been to the mall, then you probably know this friendly face. Mark is always there to greet people with a friendly smile.

Even though I had spent a lot of time in Ehrenberg before, I was looking at it from a different perspective this time. From our stay at OPNM (last 4 blog posts), I have learned to look down and appreciate the tiniest of plants.

And, as always, the sunsets did not disappoint.

5 minutes later
Nonni and Bentley enjoyed themselves too.
